CDSE stands for Combined Defence Services Exam. The exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Services Commission). The exam is held twice in a year named as CDS-I and CDS-II for the posts in INA, IAFA, IMA and OTA. Now UPSC has released the notification for CDS-I exam.

AGE LIMIT:-
for INA: 19 years to 22 years
for IAFA: 19 years to 23 years
for IMA: 19 years to 24 years
for OTA: 19 years to 25 years
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-
(i) For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy-Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. (with Physics or Mathematics) for NCC entry.
(iii) For Air Force Academy : Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and
Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
APPROXIMATE NUMBER OF VACANCIES:
(i)INA :- 40
(ii)IAFA :- 32
(iii)IMA :- 250
(iv)OTA:- 175
FEE:
Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
