UPSC NDA Exam

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. The exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year named NDA-I and NDA-II. The exam is conducted only for male candidates.

NDA exam is conducted for the posts in Air Force, Navy and Army.

for Air Force and navy you need 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or equivalent and for Army you need 12th in any discipline from recognized board or College . you can also apply for the exam while pursuing in 12th.


for NDA your age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years. there is no relaxation for any category.


NDA exam is conducted in two phases:
1. Written
2. SSB

Written exam contained two papers.

Scheme of exam:

Written:

1. Mathematics:             300 Marks

2. General Ability Test:  600 Marks
           
             Total :             900 Marks

SSB Interview:             900 Marks

There is no limit of Number of Attempts in NDA. Within age limit you can apply any number of times.

    hello, im sc candidate born on 05-05-1992 can i apply for scra post... if so should i mention age relaxation in application form

      yes, you can apply for SCRA exam. for SCRA exam the age limit for you(SC candidate) is 17 years to 26 years on 1 January of the year of exam and you have to mention about it.

      Important dates for SCRA exam in 2014:

      date of notification: 05.10.2013
      last date of receipt of application form: 04.11.2013
      date of exam: 12.01.2014

      Thnaks Mohit for your kind reply, and now i will be in 21 years running should i mention age relaxation has ''yes'' or ''no'' in application forum while applying.

      yes, you have to mention about age relaxation because according to age limit for scra u not have attained the age of 21 on 1 january. And u have attained the 21 age so mention it

      thanks for helping me... And can you say me around how many members will appear this exam according to your experience based on past notifications. And is there any reservation advantage like how many seats will be allotted for sc students out of 42 seats. And also if you know any more useful info about that exam pls share them to me like important topics etc...

      i have succesfully submitted part-1 but in my address filed i have h.no as 73/2 but when i submitted application it showed like 732 will it will affect anywhere.. and in part reg they asked photo and sign size should be 110w*140h pixels, for photo that size is okay but while making sign to that size it not clear.. so what i have to should i change size or we should not change size.

      i every year almost 1 to 1.5 lakh student appear for SCRA exam. and reservation is made according to central government norms.
